We embrace a mission of socially responsible AI. Our name nods to Arizona's sky islands, ecosystems adapted to unique conditions, just as our Virtual Case Manager is purpose-built for your unique case management needs.
We aim to solve complex administrative challenges in healthcare and government, ensuring that technology serves the community effectively and responsibly.
Sky Island AI was co-founded in Tucson in 2025 by Jay Fowler and Ed Hendel.

Jay Fowler leads Sky Island AI and its Virtual Case Manager program. He brings deep expertise in finance, operations, and grant management, and has won over $90 million in grants across his career, including numerous HHS grants with clinical and case management components.
